about us

beginnings

In 1975 Ben Matsuda and Glenn Tabusa established B&G House of Printing Inc. at a small warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles. With 38” two-color Harris Presses, Ben and Glenn, along with 2 employees, worked diligently. At that time, B&G was a trade printer — a wholesale resource for other print reselling companies. By 1978, B&G Printing had moved into a larger facility and employed six people.

evolution

In response to demand for high quality print services, B&G Printing moved to their current location and grew exponentially. B&G purchased one of the first 4-color presses in Los Angeles. In the early 1980’s Les Fujita,  Rick Morimura, and Darren Matsuda joined the B&G Printing team under Ben’s guidance. The company became a full service business-to-business printing company. It was at this time that B&G Printing purchased the first of two 6-color printing presses to provide even higher quality color production services to clients, and thus solidified their reputation as a premier print house. Rick worked with marketing and design clients to transform their ideas into impressive printed collateral. Meanwhile, Les and Darren continued to expand B&G’s services to include multi-color offset printing, specialty packaging and binding, tradeshow displays, and large format printing. In time, working with Ben, Les, Rick and Darren took on leadership roles as the company continued to evolve.

today

As of 2020, under the leadership of Les Fujita and Rick Morimura, B&G’s focus is on the future and exceeding the demands of clients who need products produced faster yet with more creativity and precision.

To that end, B&G constantly researches new technology and trends, all while expanding client services. B&G Printing has made new investments in modern equipment including a

state-of-the-art RMGT LED-UV printing press. The company also utilizes a Vutek large format machine which allows them to provide new services such as banners, signs and large format display pieces (indoor/outdoor). With the guidance and expertise of the leadership team, B&G Printing remains at the forefront of the industry, enabling the company to maintain their expectations for both high quality and quick turnaround while also diversifying its services. Just as it was in 1975, B&G is committed to the future of printing.
